For each assessment finding, click to specify if the finding is indicative of fifth disease, measles, or rubella. Each finding may support more than 1 disease process or none at all.

    Explanation & Rationale

Koplik spots (white spots on buccal mucosa) are pathognomonic for measles (rubeola). A red maculopapular rash on the face is seen in all three conditions. Fever is a prodromal symptom in all three. Generalized lymphadenopathy is most characteristic of rubella (especially postauricular and occipital nodes).
