Probable Cause: Polyhydramnios: AFI of 30 cm indicates polyhydramnios, which is excess amniotic fluid. Multiple gestation (twins) is a common cause of polyhydramnios. Polyhydramnios increases the risk of preterm labor, cord prolapse, and PPH.
