What is a side effect of topical clotrimazole?

A. Stinging at site of application: Topical clotrimazole may cause mild local irritation, burning, or stinging at the application site. These effects are usually transient and reflect the local reaction to the antifungal agent rather than systemic toxicity. B. Dark, yellow urine: Topical clotrimazole is minimally absorbed systemically. Changes in urine color are not associated with its use. This effect is unrelated to topical antifungal therapy. C. Stevens-Johnson Syndrome: Severe dermatologic reactions such as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome are extremely rare and generally associated with systemic medications. Topical clotrimazole rarely causes serious systemic hypersensitivity. D. First dose syncope: Syncope is not a known adverse effect of topical clotrimazole. Cardiovascular events are not linked to its local antifungal activity.
