What drug classes are most tested on ATI Pharmacology?
Cardiovascular agents (antihypertensives, anticoagulants, antidysrhythmics), anti-infectives, analgesics and opioids, psychotropics, endocrine drugs including insulin, respiratory agents, and GI medications appear most often, usually framed around nursing implications and adverse effects.
Does ATI Pharmacology include dosage calculation questions?
It can include a small number of medication math items, but calculation is the focus of the separate ATI Dosage Calculations assessment. Practice both if your program administers them in the same term.
How is ATI Pharmacology different from Dosage Calculations?
Pharmacology tests what a drug does, who should not receive it, and what the nurse monitors or teaches. Dosage Calculations tests the math of safely preparing and administering the ordered amount.
